New PCB business card design. Thoughts?
Has QR code/address for where to find my stuff and on the back a link to my newsletter https://www.techadjacent.io/ Will be made out of a .8mm PCB.
More interestingly, it has a metric and US scale on the back, along with a 45º angle section and three circle stencils of different diameters. Hoping it will be useful enough for people to enough to keep around!
Thanks! Made a couple changes, but here’s the final (for now) design.
looks really nice!
Will it be green? And white?
Yes
Nice
Black and Gold might also look good
Yeah, it’s around 3x the price on JLCPCB at the low quantity (30) that I ordered for this little trial. Maybe it evens out a bit as you get into larger quantities, and I think the standard 1.6mm thickness was cheaper too, but good to be thin for business cards.
Is it that much more expensive?
I agree, but $$$. Also, the green says “PCB” a bit more clearly.
Just curious, but how much are the other colors? Like purple?
Interestingly, purple PCBs at .8mm and a quantity of 30 aren’t too expensive, as shown in the (first image – $30.73 total), however, when you switch to the lead-free HASL that I’ve been using the special process fee goes up to $32.86 + $1.60 surface finish for special process (second image – $48.76 total). ENIG in purple, however, is actually cheaper than lead-free HASL as there’s no special process fee, but the surface finish is $18.30 ($32.60 total). Black and ENIG there is a special process fee, making it the most expensive option that I’ve tried at $49.03 total.
It would seem that all this is based on how much of XYZ that others are ordering. I’m surprised that purple is more common (apparently) than black in at least some cases. I guess you just have to poke around!
