Connecting ST7735 TFT Display to STM32

I have a 0.96-inch ST7735 TFT display that I’d like to use with an STM32. For now, I want to avoid using a pre-made module. If I get an FFC/FPC adapter board (1mm to 2.54mm, 8-pin soldered connector), will that be sufficient to connect the display, or will I need additional passive components or a power IC to make it work? I’d appreciate any input or reference for getting the ST7735 TFT display up and running.
